Created to Give God Glory

Our purpose is to give God glory. Sin has damaged our glorified condition. God so loved us that He gave His Son to restore that pre-fallen glory. His salvation is more than a trip to heaven. It is His Kingdom come upon this earth. (Read Romans 8:29-30)

About Me

Created to Give God Glory: Virginia Beach, VA, United States; I was born and raised in Cameron, TX, a small town in the central area of the state. After high school, I graduated from Texas A&M University. I also graduated with a Masters from Southwestern Seminary and a D.Min. from Golden Gate Seminary (now Gateway Seminary) I married Karen Gilmer in 1976. We have three grown girls and five grandchildren. I have been the senior pastor of Thalia Lynn Baptist Church in Virginia Beach since March 2005.
